    If 1.2% silicon is added to quenched and tempered structural steel, its strength can be increased by 15% to 20%. The combination of silicon, molybdenum, tungsten and chromium can also improve the corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance of stainless steel angle Iron, which can produce heat-resistant steel; low carbon steel containing 1% to 4% silicon has very high permeability, and the increase of silicon content will also reduce the weldability of steel.
